Chicken Karhai (Gravy Chicken) made with Green Chicken

Ingredients:

■ 1 Whole Green Chicken – Boneless / With Bones (AG Green Chicken)
■ Oil – 3 Tbsp
■ Tomatoes – 2 medium sized (diced)
■ Garlic Paste : 1 Tbsp
■ Ginger Paste : 1 Tbsp
■ Green Chillies : 5/6 pieces
■ Salt : As per taste
■ Water : 2 Cups
■ Cilantro: 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
■ Red Chili Powder : 1/2 Tbsp / As per Taste
■ Turmeric Powder : 1/2 Tbsp
■ Lemon Juice : Few Drops
■ Sterilized Cream : 1/2 can (optional)
■ Onion (finely chopped) : 1/2 cup (optional)
■ Black pepper : 1/2 Tsp
■ Paprika : 1/4 Tsp

Cooking Process:

1. Cut the whole Ag green chicken into cubes. If you want you can cut it into small pieces with bones.

2. Heat oil and fry the chicken pieces and tomatoes separately. Once done keep it aside.

3. In the same pan fry onions for a while. Now add the garlic & ginger paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, paprika and stir for a while.

4. Add salt as per your taste.

5. Then add 1 cup of water.

6. Now add the chicken pieces and tomatoes.

7. Stir and cover the lead till the chicken becomes tender. If needed add another cup of water.

8. Add the green chilies.

9. If you want thicker gravy add sterilized cream and cook the chicken in low heat for a further 5 – 8 minutes.

10. Garnish with green coriander and sterilized cream.

🎊 Serve hot with roti, naan or plain rice.
